As an enforcement agency within the Criminal Justice System, Dorset Probation Trust supervise adult offenders in the community, aged 18 years or over. This includes those subject to a court order and those released on licence after a custodial sentence of 12 months or more.

Dorset Probation Trust will annually supervise between 2,000 and 2,200 offenders.
